Me and Giuseppe have written several letters to the Prime Minister to try and get him to make it a law that all weekends should be three days long but, unfortunately, until he listens up this will be the last bank holiday weekend until the end of August, so we’d better all make the most of it.

Even though the weather forecast doesn’t look too promising, I intend to spend the whole weekend in shorts and flip-flops, and I’ll cook every meal of every day on my barbecue. Even breakfast. If you act like it’s summer the weather has to play ball, right?

I’ll also be singing at a swanky do on Sunday night, entertaining the glitterati of Wales. I’ve been told it’s a strictly black-tie event, but if I stick a dinner jacket on that should smarten up my shorts and flip-flops combo enough to satisfy the organisers.
